The SU-2 Gas Burner is a fully automatic, partial pre-mixed, flame retention burner and is suitable for combustion of natural gas and liquid propane (LP). NOTE: The same gas valve is used for both natural gas and propane without any conversion kit. Changing orifices alters the firing rate. The combustion air can be adjusted for proper Oxygen (O2) or Carbon Dioxide (CO2) by the dial located on the side of the air inlet box, which increases or decreases the amount of combustion air. Two electrodes act as a sparker and a flame rod. Flame rectification by this flame rod monitors the continued presence of the burner flame. With three trials for ignition consistency, trouble free, safe operation is achieved.
The SU-2 gas burner is designed to convert oil and/or coal fired appliances to a gasburning appliance. The conversion must conform to the legally authorized code governing your locality, or, in the absence of such codes, the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) codes, ANSI Z21.17-1984, Z21.8A-1990 and the National Fuel Gas Code ANSI 223.1-1992 or current standards should be applied.
